It is important with Wedding Catering to determine the kind of atmosphere you want to create with your food and beverage. Be sure to know how many people are confirmed to be coming.
Knowing where your event will be held will decide if need to hire a Caterer for the wedding or if one is supplied. Some venues allow only a short list of Caterers to cater at their location.
Be sure the Caterer or the venue supply the necessary items needed such as dishes, silverware, glasses, napkins, and tablecloths. Find out what quality is offered and if the Caterer rents the equipment.
Ask if you can arrange to have a sampling of some of the dishes you like. Ask if a service charge is included in the price and what exactly it is.
Check with the Caterer about their ratio of servers to guests. Check with the Band/DJ or Wedding Coordinator to see if they would like a meal. Caterers may offer a lesser charge for these meals.
Sometimes a “leftover basket” may be available that can be given to the bride or groom’s parents or donated to charity such as a homeless shelter.
